Cool Fresh Air Installation
Using the 3 Clips with studs provided - Mount them as pictured in the factory pressings in your hood as shown.
Then remove the 2 speed nuts at the front of each scoop and position the ' Plenum '
Mount the Plenum with the 3 extra flange nuts provided and replace speed nuts on scoops.
Trace around outside edge of Plenum with a pencil or felt tip pen and remove Plenum.
Using the foam sealing strip provided - place around inside edge of your tracing starting at the flat section next to the outside stud of scoop .
DO NOT PLACE ANY FOAM SEALING STRIP UNDER THE FLAT SECTION OF THE SCOOP AREA AS IT WILL NOT PULL DOWN PROPERLY !
Position the rubber bungs in the 2 jig holes to seal them.
If you have a late XB or XC hood you will have extra oval type jig holes.
These can be blocked off simply with the use of race or gaffer tape.
If you feel you want extra sealing - you may want to go around the frame on the inside of the Plenum area
with the caulking gun or use a gap sealer - It's up to you.
Position the Plenum in place - Ready to race.
The end result should be a neat sealed finish all the way around the Plenum
Bolt the air cleaner assembly in position and check the height clearance / sealing qualities.
If you have a high rise manifold or carby spacers or non standard set up for your air fuel induction - We have different height bases that you can fine tune within reason.
The highest you can go and still have an aircleaner bowl setup is something like a Strip Dominator with a Holley.
Any higher will be a custom type setup.
