Frequently Asked Shaker Questions.

Q DO YOU GUARANTEE YOUR PRODUCTS?
Yes. We fully guarantee all our products .

Q What if I don't want to give my credit card over the Internet?
If you feel that someone may intercept your credit card details by hacking or similar, then just email them in 2 lots. The chances of a person getting one email fraudulently let alone 2 of them , matching them up and actually using them fraudulently is very low. You may have a better chance at winning the sweepstakes. You can also " Fax " or "Phone" your credit card details as an option. We accept Visa or MasterCard only.

Q How will it be sent and how long before I receive it?
It is send air mail and will be delivered to you by US Postal Service. It normally takes 10 -14 days to get to you however some customers have reported getting it earlier as well as later but never longer than 3 weeks as a rule. If you require it in a hurry - we can send it via Fedex but this will add another $65.00 to the cost.

Q Will it fit my car?
Most likely yes. These Shakers have been installed on 65 to 73 Mustangs, 70-71 Torino's, 67-71 Cougars, 64-68 Falcons and more. While some required and air cleaner spacer to obtain the desired Shaker scoop height most 65-70 customers were very happy with it as is.

Q What's the difference between the Big Block and Small Block Shakers? Can they interchange?
The Big Block Shaker has no offset from front to rear, built into the base like the Small Block version. When you mount a Big Block Shaker on your small block engine, the scoop will be in the wrong place in relation to the hood (too close to the firewall) In addition, the Big Block Shaker is designed for a taller engine so it will sit lower in relation to the hood line. If you are doing a non-factory installation with a high rise intake, you might have to use the Big Block Shaker to compensate for the rise in height of the intake but since it's non-factory setup , you can match the hood cut out to the Shaker without being out of spec.

Q Will your Small Block Shaker work on any small block engine?
Yes. Our Small Block Shaker is a 351C unit and is designed to fit the tallest small block so it'll never be too tall on a stock intake. When used on shorter engines an air cleaner spacer may be used to raise it to the desired height, this makes it a universal Small Block Shaker.

Q Will your Shakers clear a Holley or Edelbrock carb?
Yes, just like the originals they will clear both Holley and Edelbrock carbs.

Q What if I'm running a high rise intake like a Victor Jr. or a Funnel Web with/without a carb spacer on a 351C/351W, do you have a Shaker for my application?
No, and neither does anyone else. Shakers were not designed for high rise intakes. If you're running a 302 with a Victor Jr. you may just get by but not with a 351C or 351W.

Q How do I cut the hole in my hood?
You need to mount the Shaker on the carb and measure from the firewall or another fixed point to the back of the Shaker Scoop. Remove the Shaker, close the hood, use the measurement you just took and mark it on the hood, Line up the back of the trim ring with your mark and outline the cut. I recommend cutting the hole smaller first and test fit the Shaker and trim as needed.

Q Will your Shaker work on my 302 with a Victor Jr.?
Yes it should. We know of several Small Block Shakers used for this application with positive results.

Q How does the trim ring fasten to the hood? It looks like there are no mounting studs?
The trim ring is a bond on affair. After the hood hole is cut and your Shaker is secured in it's proper position, apply an adhesive or sealer to the inside bottom of the trim ring. Use a narrow bead like 1/4" . Put the trim ring in place, adjust as necessary and apply tape to keep it from moving. I do not recommend using quick dry adhesives as they greatly reduce your working time. You need to take your time and be sure you're satisfied with the fit because it will soon be semi permanent. Also be sure you primed & painted all bare metal to prevent corrosion.
