THE SMALL BLOCK SHAKER IS A CLONE OF THE 351C SHAKER AND WILL FIT THE 351W ALSO AS THE TWO ENGINE HEIGHTS ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL.
IF YOU'RE RUNNING A 302 I RECOMMEND USING THE TORINO BASE AS IT'S 3/4 INCH TALLER THAN THE SMALL BLOCK SHAKER AND COMPENSATES FOR THE SHORTER HEIGHT OF THE 302.
THE BIG BLOCK AND SMALL BLOCK SHAKER DIFFER PRIMARILY IN THREE WAYS.
FIRST, THE SMALL BLOCK HAS A FORWARD OFFSET BUILT INTO IT TO PUT THE SCOOP IN THE CORRECT LOCATION IN RELATION TO THE HOOD OPENING.
SECOND, THE BIG BLOCK HAS NO OFFSET AS THE HOOD OPENING IS CUT FOR IT'S CENTER BUT DUE TO THE TALLER HEIGHT OF THE BIG BLOCK ENGINE THE BIG BLOCK BASE HAS LOWER PROFILE.
THIRD THE BIG BLOCK BASE IS OF SMALLER DIAMETER THAN THE SMALL BLOCK. THIS MAY HELP IF YOU HAVE A FOGGER TYPE NITROUS SYSTEM OR AFTERMARKET SHOCK TOWER TO COWL BRACES OR A LARGE DIAMETER MSD DISTRIBUTOR.
